Come Stay With Us – Stunning Secluded Personal Retreats

retreat centre

Our Retreat Centre The Beacon Centre is a total jewel nestled amongst some stunning hills right at the edge of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park (https://snowdonia.gov.wales/ ).
We have no neighbours, are off-grid and have virtually dark skies so it’s a fantastic place to bathe in star and moonlight.

Our gardens and stream are a glorious cornucopia of wild flowers, meadows, shrubs and trees. It’s overbriming with life and designed and caretaken by our resident wildlife naturalist Derek, who has a deep passion for biodiversity and restoring natural habitats. If you’re lucky, you might be able catch him, if you want to soak up some of his vast natural knowledge

Goleudy’r Galon (The Beacon Centre) means Lighthouse of the Heart, which is so fitting for the focus we have here:
This stunning place is a powerful node of energy, co-created by the elements of the land, water, air, fire and spirit. Hand in hand with the plants, creatures and spirits of Love in person and all other forms.
Our focus here is to channel what we individually and collectively co-create to help humanity evolve into being the consciousness of Infinite Love, to bring through our lives more compassion, respect, sustainability, equality and interdependence of all beings.

Meditation Sactuary
We also have a beautiful healing sanctuary sitting alongside the stream.
It is a wonderful space for deep meditative practices as well as comfortable and filled with natural light.  Most people find that as soon as they enter, they just want to sit down and never leave!

Heartspring Sanctuary

We are way from other houses and roads and yet only a car/bike journey away from Machynlleth with its vibrant market and communities and good public transport links. We can offer a pick-up service from Machynlleth for those coming by public transport.
There are many beautiful walks immediately around us, where you might meet the occasional sheep, hare or swallow. Even though there is public footpath not too far away, it’s very rare to see anyone else pass by!

Peace and Quiet:  We offer a sublime place of peace, without neighbours or roads, however occassionally we do get military planes passing overhead which can be very loud. During the autumn and winter months we do not have enough solar power, so run our generator usually about twice a week for an hour or two to provide our electricity. This is well away from the accommodation, but can be noisy. There are also a few wind turbines on one of the hills behind us, which you generally don’t see, but can occasionally hear.
We also have a elderly cat called Molly who lives here and might come and say hello. Please do not allow her into your accommodation.
Bathroom in “Carwen”:  This is a very small space of approximately 90cm by 80cm which includes a chemical toilet (which we empty for you regularly from outside of the caravan) and a simple shower with tray of 46cm x 50cm and sink. Please take into consideration before booking whether you feel this will be adequate for your needs, as we can not offer any alternative.
The single bed is 199cm x 80cm

The Shower Room in “Afon” is small, but more of a standard size you would find in a home with a shower cubicle, toilet and sink.
